Kota: A nine-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a sport utility vehicle (SUV) while walking along KM1 of Jalan Program Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin (PPRT) Legong Ulu in Kota here today. Acting Rembau police chief DSP Azmi Ali reported that the incident occurred at about 5.30 pm, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head injuries.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Rembau Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The driver of the SUV did not sustain any injuries in the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
