Accra:Boomi, a company specializing in data activation for artificial intelligence (AI), and Jade Global, a technology services provider, have announced the expansion of their partnership to improve the deployment of AI agents in manufacturing operations. The collaboration aims to enhance data integrity, governance, and control in production processes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jade Global will build manufacturing-specific solutions using the Boomi Enterprise Platform. This effort will integrate data management capabilities with tools for managing, monitoring, and governing AI agents in production operations and supply chains.

Manufacturers typically rely on diverse operational data sources, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), product lifecycle management (PLM), quality management, and supplier systems. A reliable and traceable data foundation is crucial for deploying AI agents effectively in production environments.

Dan McAllister, Boomi's Senior Vice-President of Global Alliances and Channels, emphasized the importance of monitoring AI agents, ensuring data trustworthiness, and accounting for their actions in production settings. Meanwhile, Arun Menon, Jade Global's Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, highlighted that the partnership would assist manufacturers in modernizing outdated integration systems and transitioning AI from pilot projects to production with improved traceability and accountability.

Boomi stated it will offer data integration services and its Agent Control Plane to oversee AI agents throughout their lifecycle, covering policy enforcement, monitoring, and audit trails. Jade Global will provide its Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing Framework, alongside expertise in manufacturing integration, data management, and business-to-business electronic data interchange (B2B/EDI). The two companies have collaborated since 2017, with Jade Global reaching Platinum Implementation Partner status in 2019.

The new solutions aim to synchronize operational data, establish governance over AI actions, and require human consent for high-risk activities, such as modifying purchase orders or lifting production holds. They will also facilitate deployments across local facilities, regional infrastructure, and cloud environments to meet requirements for plant latency, data residency, and data sovereignty.

The enhanced offerings are available through Jade Global, and Boomi's Enterprise Platform currently serves over 30,000 customers.
