BN To Uphold Unity Government Agreement, Says Zambry

Kuala lumpur: Barisan Nasional (BN) will continue to preserve understanding in the Unity Government until the end of the administration's mandate to ensure national stability and the well-being of the people, said its secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir. He emphasized that maintaining this agreement is crucial to prevent Malaysia from experiencing prolonged political polemics.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the understanding and basis for the formation of the Unity Government after the 15th general election (GE15) is viewed by BN as a national responsibility. Zambry clarified that the agreement was established to last until the mandate concludes, dispelling any notions that BN could betray the Unity Government.

Addressing the situation in Johor, Zambry stated that BN respects the position taken by the state's BN in terms of the direction and preparations for the upcoming state election. He noted that this stance aligns with the views of all parties within the Johor BN component parties.

Recently, Johor BN chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced that the coalition intends to contest all 56 state assembly seats in the forthcoming Johor state election.
