BN Submits Candidate List for Sabah Government Posts – Ahmad Zahid

Kuala lumpur: Barisan Nasional (BN) has officially submitted a list of candidates for consideration for ministerial and deputy ministerial posts in the newly forming Sabah state government. Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the chairman of BN, confirmed the submission, highlighting that the state government has requested all supporting parties to propose candidates for these important roles.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zahid emphasized the urgency of establishing the new government following the recent Sabah polls. He mentioned the commendable cooperation between various parties, including Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), and noted his direct communication with the new Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to ensure political stability in Sabah.

Zahid, who also serves as the Deputy Prime Minister, stressed that the immediate priority is to stabilize Sabah’s political landscape to facilitate development projects, particularly in areas such as electricity, water supply, and road infrastructure. He underscored the importance of achieving the well-being of Sabah’s residents and realizing the Sabah Maju Jaya aspirations.

On Saturday, Zahid had stated BN’s willingness to collaborate with like-minded parties to form a new state government following the 17th Sabah state election.
