Ayer Kuning: Voters’ positive sentiment towards the candidate and strong arguments in refuting the opposition’s claims are two ‘political capitals’ for Barisan Nasional (BN) to win the Ayer Kuning state by-election this Saturday. PKR International Bureau chairman Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin expressed these views, highlighting the strategic advantages that BN holds in the current political landscape.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad effectively addressed various issues raised by the opposition during the Perak State Legislative Assembly session from April 15 to 22, which coincided with the by-election campaign. His responses have been pivotal in strengthening the credibility of the state government and BN, thus enhancing public sentiment towards the BN candidate.
Shamsul Iskandar noted that despite the opposition’s attempts to challenge BN, their efforts have not succeeded in achieving the desired impact. He conveyed this sentiment to Bernama while su

Nevertheless, Shamsul Iskandar, who also serves as the PKR Hang Tuah Jaya division chief, emphasized the necessity of implementing a robust strategy to ensure high voter turnout, which is crucial for securing victory in the by-election.
The Ayer Kuning state by-election was necessitated by the passing of incumbent Ishsam Shahruddin on February 22. The election involves a three-way contest between Mohamad Yusri of BN, Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Abd Muhaimin Malek, and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) candidate Bawani KS.
