Kuala Lumpur: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has announced the appointment of Marcus Goh Kee Lun as the executive director cum group chief executive officer (GCEO) and Datuk Seri Mohd Kamarudin Md Din as an independent non-executive director. These appointments come in the wake of the retirement of key figures within the company, including Tan Sri Tee Hock Seng, the former deputy executive chairman, and Dr Tony Tan Cheng Kiat, the founder director.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the construction company highlighted Goh’s extensive experience within the capital market and corporate environment, noting his nearly two-decade-long career which includes significant involvement with big four accounting firms. His role in the initial public offering projects for major Fortune 500 Chinese state-owned enterprises underscores his capability in handling complex financial tasks. Mohd Kamarudin, on the other hand, brings over 30 years of experience from his leadership roles within the Royal Malaysia Police, known for his dedication to integrity and professionalism.
The statement from Bina Puri also indicated that group managing director cum GCEO Kevin Chai Chan Tong will take over from Tan Sri Tee while maintaining his role as group managing director. Kevin Chai expressed that the addition of these new board members will allow the group to strategically utilize their expertise in financial markets and corporate governance, thereby enhancing its operational capabilities and capital funding oversight.
Kevin Chai emphasized that these developments are aligned with the Group’s commitment to achieving sustainable growth and creating long-term value for its stakeholders, marking a new chapter in Bina Puri’s corporate journey.
