BAADER Opens New Shah Alam Production Facility, Strengthening Regional Presence And Innovation


Shah Alam: BAADER, a global leader in food processing and technology, officially inaugurated its new production facility, BAADER Food Systems Asia Sdn. Bhd, in Shah Alam here today. This momentous occasion marks a strategic milestone for BAADER, significantly expanding its operational footprint in Southeast Asia and reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable practices within Malaysia’s thriving industrial ecosystem.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid emphasized that the Shah Alam facility will play a vital role in offering high-performance machinery, digital monitoring tools, and data-driven production insights. ‘BAADER’s advanced food processing technologies play a vital role in strengthening the stability and efficiency of the food supply chain. By enhancing processing capabilities, minimizing waste, and optimizing resource utilization, BAADER’s innovations are instrumental in supporting the sustainable production needed to feed a growing global population,’ he said.



The statement also highlighted that the event marks an important step in continued efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for advanced manufacturing and food processing technology. Among the distinguished guests at the inauguration were Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malaysia, Ulrike Wolf, BAADER Global CEO, Honorary Consul Petra Baader, and MIDA executive director of Manufacturing Development (Non-Resource) Norhizam Ibrahim.



Meanwhile, Amirudin stressed that BAADER’s vision aligns with Selangor’s commitment to maintaining world-class infrastructure and a globally competent talent pool from over 150 universities across the state. He reiterated his commitment to offering 100,000 quality, high-paying jobs, especially to young people, and expressed satisfaction with the progress toward achieving this goal. ‘Welcome to Selangor — and thank you for choosing Shah Alam. Together, I believe the success of BAADER and Selangor will be even sweeter for the benefit of all Selangorians,’ he said.



BAADER Food Systems Asia will serve as a dual-purpose production and innovation hub, enabling the development and deployment of tailored solutions for the diverse needs of the Asian poultry and fish processing industries. This new establishment complements BAADER’s long-standing presence in Singapore and Beijing, further solidifying its extensive global network.



BAADER’s enhanced operational capacity in Malaysia not only strengthens its ability to provide localized support to its clientele but also underscores the company’s continuous investment in building resilient supply chains, fostering technological innovation, and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships across the entire Southeast Asian landscape.
