Kuala lumpur: Art and culture serve as a bridge uniting different segments of society, as emphasized by Bandar Tun Razak MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Prime Minister’s wife, highlighted that art and culture are not just expressions of creativity and aesthetics but also act as pillars of values, identity, and national unity. During her speech at the launch of the Art and Culture Revitalisation Programme with the Bandar Tun Razak community, she noted the role of art and culture in fostering patriotism, especially in challenging times.

The event, which also saw the launch of the Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign, was attended by prominent figures including the Prime Minister’s political secretary, Datuk Azman Abidin, and Salmiyah Ahmad from the Cultural Arts Guidance Division of the National Department for Culture and Arts.

The day featured a variety of activities aimed at community engagement and development, such as the MADANI Agro Sale, Rahmah Sale, health screenings, pantun recitations, sports events, a community feast, martial arts workshops, and a dance competition. Dr Wan Azizah urged the community, particularly the youth, to engage in constructive activities and avoid negative behaviors like drug addiction, bullying, and illegal motorcycle racing, which could have detrimental effects.
