Kuala lumpur: Applications for Phase 2 of the Dharma MADANI Programme, involving the first 324 complete submissions, will be open from Aug 17 to Sept 18. The Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA), in a statement today, said applications would open at 9 am on Aug 17 and close at 5 pm on Sept 18.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Dharma MADANI Programme is a government initiative aimed at empowering Hindu temples as centers for worship, learning, spirituality, culture, and community activities. The programme targets 1,000 Hindu temples registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (ROS).
Under Phase 1 of the programme, 676 Hindu temples were approved for assistance. As such, Hindu temples that meet the criteria stipulated in the Dharma MADANI Programme Application Guidelines are invited to submit applications for Phase 2.
