Kajang: The Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) is set to host its 74th Civil Defence Day (HUTPA 74) celebration next Tuesday and Wednesday at its headquarters in Sungai Merab, Kajang.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this year's celebration will be themed 'APM Nadi Kesiapsiagaan Masa Hadapan' (APM: The Pulse of Future Readiness), aligning with the agency's focus on enhancing public preparedness and disaster management. The opening ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday, will be officiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
APM emphasized that the event will highlight the roles and responsibilities of its personnel in rescue missions, humanitarian aid, and disaster management. The programme is designed to increase public understanding of safety and disaster preparedness while encouraging a spirit of volunteerism among Malaysians.
APM also noted that numerous engaging activities have been planned for HUTPA 74. These activities will involve participation from security agencies, non-governmental organisations, educational institutions, and the local community. The public is invited to attend the event to gain insight into APM's roles and functions in ensuring public safety and well-being.
