Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today delivered a poetic message emphasizing unity, discipline, and solidarity through a four-line Malay pantun. This message highlights the significance of friendship and consensus.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar posted the pantun on his official Facebook page, accompanied by the classic 1980s song "Madu dan Racun," enhancing the message's impact. The post included photos from a Cabinet meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Transport Minister Anthony Loke, depicting a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.

The post has garnered widespread attention as the relationship between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) remains in the spotlight, with both coalitions contesting the Negeri Sembilan state election despite being partners in the Federal Unity Government. While competing vigorously, the post has been interpreted as a reminder to maintain the Federal Government's stability and cohesion.

In the upcoming Negeri Sembilan election, PH, led by Anwar, is contesting all 36 state seats, while BN, under Ahmad Zahid, is fielding candidates in 25 constituencies and has formed a pact with Perikatan Nasional (PN). The Negeri Sembilan State Assembly dissolution occurred on June 5, with the Election Commission setting July 28 for early voting and August 1 for polling.

Anwar's post saw significant online engagement, receiving over 11,500 likes within two hours. More than 1,700 responses flooded the comments section, with some users replying in pantun and many commending the Prime Minister's conciliatory approach and leadership.
