Anwar Ibrahim Refutes Connection to Jeffrey Epstein Case Allegations

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today firmly denied any involvement with parties related to the late American financier Jeffrey Epstein's case.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar addressed the situation through a post on X, acknowledging that he had only become aware that an external party had attempted to meet him and had mentioned his name in email exchanges concerning the case. Anwar emphasized his lack of connection, stating, "Praise be to Allah, for the past dozen years as stated in the email, I have had absolutely no connection with any of the parties exchanging those emails, especially Epstein."

He further added a personal note, indicating his current location and activity, "Alright, I'm going to continue sightseeing in Johor Bahru," highlighting his presence in the Johor capital.

The Prime Minister's statement came in response to a call from Armada Bersatu, the youth wing of Bersatu, demanding clarification regarding allegations of his direct or indirect interaction with Epstein or individuals named in documents disclosed by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) as part of the Epstein Files archive.

According to media reports, the DOJ released these documents and correspondences in an effort to maintain transparency in the ongoing investigation into Epstein.
