Kuala Lumpur:Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has offered words of encouragement to young Malaysian rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli following his impressive fourth-place finish in the Moto3 race at the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix held at the Sepang International Circuit.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister expressed his congratulations and urged the 19-year-old to continue striving in the remaining races of the season. Anwar shared his sentiments on X, encouraging Hakim Danish not to be disheartened and to keep pushing forward.
In addition to Hakim Danish, Anwar also met with other young Malaysian riders, including Muhammad Qabil Irfan Azlan, Qayyim Razin Razali, and Muhammad Naqib Rifqi Zulhelmi. He advised them not to give up easily when facing challenges, emphasizing that every champion experiences both highs and lows.
Hakim Danish, representing the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi team, narrowly missed a podium finish on home soil, completing the race just 4.410 seconds behind the Spanish winner Maximo Quiles. Despite being overtaken after moving up to second place on the 11th lap, the Terengganu-born rider has shown his competitive edge with podium placements at both the Italian GP and Czech Republic GP earlier this season.
The current MotoGP calendar indicates that three rounds remain for the season, scheduled in Qatar, Portugal, and Spain.
