Johor bahru: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his hopes for Johor Zoo to continue its development as a center for recreation, education, and state heritage, benefiting the local community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister shared these aspirations during his visit to the country's oldest zoo. Anwar arrived in Johor Bahru using the Electric Train Service 3 (ETS3) from Kuala Lumpur. During his visit, he mingled with zoo visitors and received an update on the zoo's current projects from Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, the chairman of the Johor Housing and Local Government Committee. The visit also saw the presence of Johor State Secretary Datuk Asman Shah Abd. Rahman.
Prior to his arrival at the zoo, Anwar highlighted in a separate Facebook post that he was utilizing the long holiday coinciding with Federal Territory Day and Thaipusam to evaluate the ETS3 operations from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru. He emphasized the importance of engaging with passengers to gather their views and feedback regarding the train services.
