New delhi: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim departed for India's Southern State, Keralam (renamed from Kerala), for his second and final leg of his working visit in India after participating in the 18th BRICS Leaders Summit here.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the aircraft carrying the Prime Minister departed the Air Force Station (AFS) Palam, New Delhi at 2.15 pm local time (4.45 pm Malaysian Time) to Kozhikode (Calicut), Keralam.
During his visit to the coastal town, Anwar is set to meet with the Grand Mufti of India, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad. The discussions will focus on community development, educational advancement, and promoting interfaith harmony.
Additionally, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the Chief Minister Thiru V. D. Satheesan and the Governor of Kerala, Thiru Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar.
Following this visit, the Prime Minister is slated to head to the Maldives on September 14.
