Seremban: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has underscored the importance of ensuring that all projects and programs under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) genuinely benefit the citizens. He chaired a meeting today to review the status of these initiatives in the Seremban District.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the meeting focused on addressing the needs of the people, particularly in areas such as education, flood mitigation, infrastructure, healthcare, and socio-economic development. Anwar emphasized the need for every plan to be effectively executed to enhance the well-being of the citizens and further the nation's progress.

Anwar reiterated that the MADANI Government would continue its collaborative efforts across ministries and agencies to improve implementation efficiency and expedite the delivery of assistance and development. He also highlighted the necessity of strengthening monitoring processes to prevent any delays, leakages, or issues that could adversely affect the populace.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister participated in the 2026 National Youth Day celebration themed "Menggerak Belia MADANI" and performed Friday prayers at Masjid Sri Sendayan. He also witnessed the presentation of a mock cheque worth RM47.7 million intended for Islamic affairs initiatives in Negeri Sembilan, handed over by Dr Zulkifli Hasan to Datuk Mohd Zafir Ibrahim.

Of the allocated funds, RM42.3 million will be used for compensating religious educators and facilitators. Anwar conveyed the government's commitment to strengthening Islamic education institutions nationwide as part of the agenda to build a knowledgeable and morally upright MADANI society.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that these efforts would ensure the flourishing of Islamic teachings and provide a conducive learning environment for students and educators, thus contributing to the development of a prosperous society rooted in comprehensive Islamic values.
