Anwar Calls For Global Unity To Defend Dignity, End Violence

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on the Arab-Islamic world and the international community to rise and unite in defending dignity, ending violence, and safeguarding global security. In a Facebook post tonight, Anwar stated that Israel’s attack on Qatar was clear proof of Zionist cruelty knowing no bounds.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that the oppression by Zionists extended beyond the Palestinian people, threatening the sovereignty of Arab and Islamic countries. He noted that if Qatar could be attacked, then no nation was safe from such threats. Malaysia strongly condemned the attack, with Anwar expressing firm opposition to the act and pledging support for the oppressed people of Palestine.

Anwar is set to deliver Malaysia’s National Statement to express solidarity with Qatar. He reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to not remain silent in the face of oppression and to stand with those affected by such acts. The Prime Minister departed for Doha to attend the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, as documented in several photographs accompanying his Facebook post.

Earlier, the special aircraft carrying Anwar left the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Subang Air Base at 7 pm. The emergency summit is being held at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, following the Israeli attack on September 9. The strike in the Leqtaifiya area involved approximately 15 Zionist fighter jets, resulting in the deaths of six people, including the son of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, his office manager, and a Qatari security officer. Hamas’ top leaders reportedly survived the attack.
