Sungai Besi:According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Anti-Bullying Tribunal (TAB) has received a total of 55 complaints, with five of these cases resolved through awards as of yesterday. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, highlighted that the awards given included apologies to victims, participation in a counselling program, and compensation of RM2,000 in one instance.

The approach of TAB emphasizes not only punishment but also focuses on the recovery of victims and the correction of perpetrator behavior. Azalina stated that addressing bullying effectively requires societal willingness to speak up and take action, encouraging victims and witnesses to come forward as bullying should not be trivialized or normalized.

In a move aligned with the MADANI Government's commitment to tackling bullying comprehensively, Azalina launched the Anti-Bullying Act 2026 (Act 876) Literacy Programme and outlined the Role of TAB at the Royal Military College (RMC), Sungai Besi. This initiative aims to enhance public understanding, especially among the younger generation, about the protections under Act 876, the functions and role of TAB, and the procedures for lodging complaints and obtaining remedies.
