Another Malaysian Haj Pilgrim Dies in Makkah

Makkah: A Malaysian pilgrim, Ahmad Kerya, 70, died at King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Makkah at 1.22 pm yesterday (local time).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, announced Ahmad’s death on Facebook, stating the cause as septicemic shock secondary to pneumonia with multi-organ failure. Ahmad, who was from Kodiang, Kedah, was on the haj pilgrimage with his wife.

Dr Mohd Na’im expressed his condolences on behalf of the Malaysian Government and the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) to the deceased’s family. He extended prayers for Ahmad, saying, “May Allah forgive his sins, accept all his good deeds and place him among the righteous.”
