Putrajaya: The organisation of Anjung Syawal Putrajaya in conjunction with the Putrajaya Ramadan Festival 2026 (FRP2026) is poised to become a significant attraction for Visit Malaysia Year (VMY2026), enhancing Putrajaya's reputation as an international hub for tourism, events, and culture.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhammad Amin Noriman Azmi, the organising manager of Anjung Syawal FRP2026, announced that the event aims for total sales of RM40 million and expects to draw over one million visitors throughout its duration. This event is set to be one of the largest Aidilfitri bazaars in the Klang Valley.

Muhammad Amin highlighted that Anjung Syawal not only provides economic benefits to traders but also acts as a robust tourism promotion platform, integrating cultural, entertainment, entrepreneurial, and spiritual components. He emphasized the strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, along with Perbadanan Putrajaya, which enables Anjung Syawal to contribute to the VMY2026 initiative by presenting local tourism products and activities that are friendly to tourists. The event aims to showcase the unique atmosphere of celebrating Ramadan and Aidilfitri in Malaysia to international visitors.

Anjung Syawal is officially included in the VMY2026 calendar through FRP2026, organized by Perbadanan Putrajaya, and will take place from February 18 to March 19 at Dataran Putrajaya, Presinct 3. Key highlights of the event include Aidilfitri fashion shows, cultural performances, and Islamic lectures (ceramah and tazkirah) featuring 31 speakers. Notable participants include the Federal Territory Mufti, Ustaz Ahmad Fauwaz Fadzil, and renowned Islamic influencers such as Ustaz Syamsul Debat and Habib Ali Zainal Abidin.

Artistic performances, famous nasyid groups, qasidah recitations, and Tadabbur Al-Quran sessions will enhance the Ramadan experience. These initiatives align with the VMY2026 mission to present Malaysia's cultural and Islamic values as a major attraction for tourists.
