Penang: Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA) has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Koperasi Lembaga Lebuhraya Berhad to jointly organize the CIMB ASEAN Cultural Night Run @ Penang 2nd Bridge 2025 (ACNR 2025). The event will take place on August 16 at the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge in Penang.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the MoA was signed by ANGKASA president Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Fattah Abdullah and Koperasi LLM Berhad chairman Datuk Idrus Mat Tais. The ceremony was witnessed by ANGKASA Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Abdullah Jusoh and Koperasi LLM Berhad Deputy Secretary Nazri Saad. Dr Abdul Fattah, who is also the ASEAN Cooperative Organisation (ACO) president, stated that ANGKASA’s involvement in ACNR 2025 is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and enhancing cooperative networks across the region.
He emphasized that the programme not only encourages a healthy lifestyle within the community but also allows the cooperative movement to engage in regional-scale initiatives, aligning with ANGKASA’s goal to promote cooperative culture at the ASEAN level. ANGKASA is contributing RM100,000 in sponsorships, which includes goods and cash prizes for winners and lucky draw participants, demonstrating their commitment to community development and impactful programmes.
ANGKASA aims to attract 5,000 participants from Malaysia and other ASEAN countries for ACNR 2025. The event will feature three main categories: a five-kilometre Fun Run, a 10KM competitive run with six categories based on gender and age, and a 21KM competitive run divided into four open and veteran categories.
