Amirudin Shari Appointed as PKR Co-Election Director

Kuala lumpur: PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has been appointed as the party's joint election director, taking over from deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar. PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh announced that Amirudin will now share the responsibility with Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who retains his position.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fuziah emphasized that in the next phase, Nurul Izzah will focus on strengthening the party's machinery and organizational work, aiming for a more structured direction. This strategic focus is intended to invest in each grassroots member, ensuring PKR's strength is built comprehensively and firmly at all levels.

Additionally, the Prime Minister's Political Secretary Datuk Azman Abidin has been appointed as the director of the main election operations room, with assistance from former National Unity Ministry secretary-general Datuk Ruji Ubi. Their roles are crucial in enhancing the coordination of strategy, field operations, and monitoring of election machinery activities.

Fuziah highlighted that these appointments are part of PKR's strategic restructuring to streamline and mobilize the election machinery more effectively. The restructuring continues the groundwork laid previously, enhancing coordination between states and divisions, and improving the use of data, systems, and technology in field operations through the TERAS election system.

Fuziah also expressed gratitude towards the 5,936 new members who joined PKR between April and May, marking a significant boost to the party's membership.
