Kuala lumpur: Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has outlined plans to develop a port and an industrial area in the Linggi state constituency if he is given the mandate in the 16th Negeri Sembilan state election. The Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman said the proposed projects formed part of a broader development plan aimed at improving infrastructure and creating greater economic opportunities for residents in the constituency.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aminuddin stated, "God willing, there will be a port and an industrial area. These are among the new developments planned for the Linggi state constituency," during a press conference after the nomination process at the District Administration Complex Auditorium. He acknowledged the challenges of contesting in a Barisan Nasional (BN) stronghold against incumbent Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, but expressed confidence in the PH election machinery to ensure a smooth campaign.
Aminuddin thanked the party for the opportunity and expressed his determination to secure victory. He emphasized his commitment to championing Pakatan Harapan in the Linggi constituency and urged voters to make a wise choice in the election. The contest sees Aminuddin facing off in a three-cornered race with Mohd Faizal and Datuk Zamri Md Said of Bersatu.
Meanwhile, Mohd Faizal highlighted that the BN election machinery cannot afford to take the contest lightly, despite Linggi being considered one of the coalition's strongholds. He expressed hope for a smooth two-week campaign period free from excessive provocation, slander, or baseless allegations.
