Shah alam: The Asia Institute of Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy (AiSED), Asia e University (AeU), and Gaine Academy today signed a Memorandum of Agreement to organise the AiSED International Conference 2026, scheduled from December 2 to 4 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre in Selangor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the conference, which operates under the patronage of Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah as AiSED's patron, aims to unite thought leaders, policymakers, academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry players to deliberate on sustainable development in the artificial intelligence (AI) era.
The event, themed "Harnessing AI, Empowering Innovation, Advancing Sustainable Futures Through Entrepreneurship and Diplomacy," anticipates attracting participants from Malaysia and beyond. Participants will represent various sectors including government, academia, industry, professional bodies, international organisations, and the entrepreneurial community.
Professor Datuk Dr Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad, conference chairman, highlighted the need for a more inclusive and collaborative approach to address emerging challenges. He noted the rapid advancement of AI, alongside global issues such as climate change, economic uncertainty, skills gaps, and geopolitical challenges.
He emphasized the conference's role as a strategic forum to explore the ethical and responsible use of AI, aiming to accelerate innovation, enhance economic competitiveness, and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
The collaboration between AiSED, AeU, and Gaine Academy underscores a shared commitment to advancing human capital development, expanding international collaboration networks, and delivering impactful solutions to current challenges.
Participants will have opportunities to engage in keynote addresses by global figures, expert forums, research presentations, workshops, strategic networking sessions, and roundtable discussions focusing on AI, innovation, entrepreneurship, diplomacy, and sustainability.
Selected papers may be published in internationally indexed journals such as SCOPUS and MyCITE, further amplifying the conference's academic and research impact.
