Kuching: AirBorneo is offering a 20 per cent discount on normal fares for the upcoming 2026 Chinese New Year. In a statement today, the Sarawak state-owned airline said the discount applies to bookings made on Feb 1 to Feb 5, 2026, for travel from Feb 6 to Feb 28, 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, AirBorneo chief executive officer Megat Ardian Wira Mohd Aminuddin stated that the promotion is designed to support travellers returning home for the holidays. 'This discount reflects our commitment to making homecoming travel more accessible during the festive season,' he said.

The statement further mentioned that customers can book through the airline's website, call centre, and ticketing counter at the airports, with terms and conditions applying. The Sarawak-owned carrier currently serves 21 destinations, maintaining connections to remote communities in Sarawak and Sabah. The airline plans to continue expanding its services while maintaining its critical Rural Air Services (RAS) network.

AirBorneo began commercial operations with its inaugural flight on Jan 2, 2026, after completing the acquisition from MASWings on Jan 1, 2026.
