Shanghai: The Organizing Committee of AIM Congress, recognized as the world’s premier investment platform, has unveiled plans to introduce the AIM China Chapter 2025. This venture marks AIM Congress’s inaugural international expansion beyond its origins in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the AIM China Chapter is scheduled to occur from November 7 to 8 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. The event will coincide with the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The UAE Minister of Foreign Trade and AIM Congress President, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, emphasized that hosting the first international chapter in Shanghai underscores the mutual vision for enhanced UAE-China collaboration, focusing on sustainability, technology, and global cooperation. He noted that the AIM China Chapter would foster partnerships, create trade opportunities, encourage strategic investment, and enhance private-sector cooperation and knowledge exchange.
AIM Global Foundation President, Dawood Al Shezawi, highlighted that as the event aligns with CIIE, one of the world’s most influential trade events, AIM will spotlight investment opportunities in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, digital finance, artificial intelligence, and clean energy.
The AIM China Chapter aims to be a landmark event in AIM Congress’s global expansion. The theme, “Deciphering the Intertwined Engines of Globalization: ‘From Going Out’ to ‘Going Up’,” seeks to bring together leaders from government, business, and finance to discuss the transition from outward expansion to innovation-driven growth and value creation. The event aligns with the goals of the UAE and China to reinforce trade, technology, and development, setting a model for collaboration and serving as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and partnership building.
In 2024, bilateral trade between the UAE and China reached US$101.8 billion, with China representing 18 percent of UAE imports, reaffirming its status as the UAE’s largest trading partner. AIM Congress, established in the UAE, has solidified its reputation as a leading global investment platform, promoting economic development through international cooperation.
