Aidilfitri: Prasarana To Provide Additional Trains If Congestion Occurs

Kuala Lumpur: Rapid Rail, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), will provide additional trains if there is unexpected congestion during Aidilfitri to ensure a smooth journey for passengers. Prasarana chief operating officer Amir Hamdan emphasized their commitment to monitor the situation closely.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amir stated that daily monitoring of passenger and congestion situations on platforms and outside stations will be conducted to assess the need for additional trains. He noted that current analysis shows no requirement to extend operations past midnight, but they remain prepared to respond immediately if there is a surge in passengers.

Amir highlighted that the Rapid Rail Operations Control Centre (OCC) will maintain direct communication to facilitate the provision of additional trains when necessary. This proactive approach aims to address any sudden increase in passenger numbers efficiently.

In addition to transport plans, Amir mentioned Prasarana’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As part of these efforts, 300 packs of nasi arab and delicacies were distributed to Bernama staff, reinforcing the bond between the two organizations. This CSR activity has been a part of the company’s tradition for the past seven years during Ramadan.

Amir expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to share meals with Bernama staff, acknowledging their dedication. This gesture aligns with the spirit of Ramadan, which emphasizes giving. News Services Executive Editor Mohd Haikal Mohd Isa was also present at the meal distribution event.
