Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today donated a sacrificial cow to media practitioners in Negeri Sembilan to enable them to perform the korban ritual in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contribution also offered media practitioners in the state the chance to participate in a korban programme for the first time, organized by the Negeri Sembilan Media Club (MANIS) in collaboration with the Taman Bandar Senawang Kariah Mosque.

MANIS chairman Muhd Danial Amsyar Arfi expressed appreciation to the Prime Minister for the contribution, stating it reflected concern for media practitioners in the state. He noted that the korban programme serves as a platform to bring media practitioners closer to the community through social and religious activities. A portion of the meat will be distributed to those in need, with the remainder given to MANIS members.

He emphasized the hope that programmes like this can continue in the future as part of social responsibility efforts and to aid the underprivileged, while also strengthening ties between the media and the community.

Taman Bandar Senawang Kariah Mosque chairman Hosnan Selamat mentioned that 15 cows, including MANIS' contribution, were sacrificed at the mosque in conjunction with Aidiladha.
