Ahmad Zahid Calls For Mature Politics, Solutions To Addressing Current Challenges

Kuala lumpur: Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called for mature politics, responsible leadership, and practical solutions to address current challenges in an increasingly complex global environment.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in conjunction with BN's 52nd anniversary, Ahmad Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, emphasized that the coalition must continue to move forward with a spirit of renewal, grounded in experience and an openness to adapt to future demands. He highlighted the significant challenge posed by the upcoming General Election and urged all BN leaders, machinery, and supporters to remain united, loyal to the struggle, and attentive to the needs and sentiments of the people to secure a stronger mandate for the coalition.

Ahmad Zahid, who is UMNO president, reflected on BN's formation 52 years ago, rooted in understanding, moderation, and cooperation among Malaysia's diverse communities to build the nation collectively. Over the past five decades, BN has navigated various phases of struggle, including leading the nation's growth and facing challenges requiring resilience and self-reflection. He reiterated the coalition's unwavering commitment to serving the people and upholding the country's stability.

He expressed appreciation to all party members and machinery who continue to support BN's struggle with dedication and loyalty. Meanwhile, UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani remarked that BN's extensive experience demonstrates the coalition's proven ability to develop the nation and serve its people. He affirmed BN's commitment to moving forward with renewed energy, improved service delivery, and a stronger focus on understanding and addressing the aspirations of Malaysians.

Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Arthur Joseph Kurup emphasized that the coalition has long served as a platform for championing the people's interests while contributing to the country's stability, development, and progress, including in Sabah. He acknowledged the achievements resulting from the efforts, sacrifices, and loyalty of leaders, machinery, and members at every level. Arthur, who is also Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) president, expressed his appreciation to Sabah BN's leadership, party machinery, and supporters for their continued loyalty and commitment to the coalition, urging them to continue moving forward with determination towards a more developed, stable, and prosperous future for Sabah.
