Ahmad Maslan and Abdul Aziz Receive UUM Maulidur Rasul Awards

Kuala Lampur:Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan has been honored with Universiti Utara Malaysia's (UUM) Maulidur Rasul Exemplary Figure Award during a ceremony today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid, an alumnus with a Bachelor of Economics, also received the award following his recent appointment as Deputy IGP. The awards were presented to mark the Maulidur Rasul 1448H/2026 celebration and UUM Monthly Assembly at Dewan Mu'adzam Shah.

Ahmad Maslan expressed that the award is a significant honor, marking the first of its kind he has received in his 60-year life. As a UUM alumnus with a Doctorate in Communication obtained in 2025, he views the award as a responsibility to continue contributing to the community's development through knowledge, skills, education, and dakwah.

UUM Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ahmad Martadha Mohamed stated that alumni achievements are a source of pride for the university, demonstrating the effectiveness of the education and development they received. He emphasized that the Maulidur Rasul Exemplary Figure Award is a testament to the university's appreciation for alumni contributions to society and the nation.

Martadha further noted that alumni like Ahmad and Abdul Aziz inspire the university community, particularly students, to look to their career paths as a guide and benchmark for success.
