Seattle: AGC Biologics, a global player in the biopharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing sector, has announced a strategic partnership with Pyramid Pharma Services aimed at offering drug developers a comprehensive US-based manufacturing solution.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this collaboration leverages their expertise in drug substance development and manufacturing alongside Pyramid's capabilities in sterile fill-finish operations. The partnership promises a fully integrated supply chain solution that will streamline the development process for clients. This includes access to sterile fill-finish capabilities in the US, featuring options like liquid and lyophilised vials, pre-filled syringes, and cartridges, along with device assembly, labelling, and secondary packaging services.

Christoph Winterhalter, AGC Biologics' Chief Business Officer, noted the strategic importance of this collaboration: "We are always listening to our customers' needs and responding with solutions that help them meet their goals. With this US-based fill-finish option, our Seattle site is well-positioned for developers that desire or even require end-to-end production in the US."

The partnership aims to simplify project management through a centralised system, reducing complexity and expediting the delivery of therapies to patients. This new US-based solution complements AGC Biologics' existing European fill-finish capabilities, offering clients enhanced geographic flexibility, mitigating tariff exposure, and reinforcing supply chain security.

Pyramid Pharma Services, which boasts nearly four decades of experience in the field of sterile injectable drug product development, brings to the table a strong background in good manufacturing practice manufacturing and a proven track record in quality and regulatory excellence.
