New york: AeroFlexx, an integrated liquid packaging company, has announced a collaboration with beauty brand Aveda to introduce a new refill packaging innovation aimed at advancing more sustainable and consumer-centric beauty packaging. Under the partnership, Aveda will become the first prestige beauty brand to commercialize AeroFlexx's curbside-recyclable refill packaging technology globally, marking an industry milestone in sustainable packaging.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, AeroFlexx Vice President of Commercial and Business Development, Peter Messacar, expressed that the partnership demonstrates what is possible when two organizations with aligned values come together to push the industry forward. 'By integrating AeroFlexx's packaging technology into its portfolio, Aveda is setting a new precedent for how major prestige beauty brands can reduce plastic and enhance the consumer experience simultaneously,' he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Aveda Director of Global Packaging Development, Nicole Call, stated that the refill solution reduces plastic while meeting the company's standards for design, recyclability, and performance. This reflects the kind of thoughtful and responsible innovation the company is committed to bringing to market.
AeroFlexx's packaging format combines sustainability and functionality by offering a resealable and controlled refilling experience. Its lightweight, integrated airframe structure uses up to 70 percent less plastic compared with two 250 millilitre (ml) Aveda bottles, while supporting a more streamlined recycling process. The refill design aligns with Aveda's design-for-recyclability principles and its commitment to reducing packaging impact without compromising product performance or the consumer experience.
The new AeroFlexx refill packaging will debut with select best-selling Aveda products beginning early next year.
