Aeris and Telna Collaborate to Enhance IoT Connectivity in Brazil

Kuala Lampur:Aeris has teamed up with Telna to enhance secure IoT connectivity in Brazil. This partnership integrates Aeris's IoT Accelerator platform and IoT Watchtower security suite with Telna's cloud-native core network, aiming to address connectivity challenges that impede multinational IoT deployments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aeris's Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Cratsenberg, stated that this collaboration allows Aeris customers to access Brazil with low-latency and compliance through the same platform they use globally. This initiative is part of Aeris's efforts to provide seamless connectivity for Physical AI and critical IoT applications.

Telna, now part of the IoT Accelerator community, aids enterprises, OEMs, and MSPs in scaling and managing IoT programs across borders. With over 800 network agreements in more than 200 countries and Telna's local IMSI profiles in Brazil, Aeris customers can connect to Brazil's burgeoning markets such as agribusiness, industrial IoT, healthcare, and automotive sectors.

Brazil's restrictions on permanent roaming have necessitated separate local agreements for global enterprises. Aeris's new solution offers zero-touch eSIM provisioning, simplifying device connectivity in Brazil without the need for SIM swaps or individual country onboarding.

The partnership also leverages Telna's geo-redundant Points of Presence and Aeris's global Tier-1 operator agreements to enhance local traffic management, reducing latency for systems like autonomous vehicles and edge AI. By providing a unified interface for connectivity, security, and management, the collaboration facilitates market entry without the need for additional carrier contracts or device redesigns, thereby mitigating international market cost inflation.
