Adverse Weather Conditions Predicted in Kuala Lumpur and Eight States

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect the capital and eight other states until 3 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued an advisory at 12.30 pm detailing the regions likely to be impacted by the severe weather.

In Kedah, Langkawi is anticipated to experience these conditions, while in Perak, areas such as Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim are on alert. The East Coast, particularly Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu, along with several areas in Pahang including Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin, are also expected to face adverse weather.

MetMalaysia's forecast extends to Kuala Lumpur and parts of Selangor, including Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang. Additionally, Negeri Sembilan regions such as Jelebu, Seremban, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau are included in the warning.

In Johor, the affected areas are Tangkak, Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru. Similarly, in Sabah, locations like Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan), and Kudat (Pitas and Kudat) have been flagged for potential severe weather conditions.
