Kuala lumpur: The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) has announced the opening of a special visit session for families and guardians of clients undergoing the Institutional Treatment and Rehabilitation Programme at Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Centres (PUSPEN) across the nation in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, AADK director-general Datuk Ruslin Jusoh stated that the visit sessions will take place from March 30 to April 3, with the exception of PUSPEN centres in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah, which will begin the sessions a day earlier, from March 29 to April 2. The initiative is designed to reinforce family connections and offer essential moral support to the clients of AADK.
"This special visit also provides space and opportunity for families or guardians to meet the clients in a friendly manner, apart from being a therapeutic approach in supporting their recovery process," Ruslin explained in a statement.
Ruslin further mentioned that families or guardians interested in participating in the special visit session should reach out to the Rehabilitation Officer at their respective PUSPEN through phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, letter, or email. For additional information, the public is encouraged to contact the relevant PUSPEN directly or utilize the AADK Hotline at 1-800-22-2235 or 019-626 2233 (WhatsApp) for advisory services or to report drug-related issues.
