934 SPM Students in Sungai Buloh Awarded RM300,000 in Expanded Recognition Program

Sungai buloh: A total of 934 students who participated in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination in the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency have been awarded contributions totaling approximately RM300,000, as the eligibility criteria have been broadened to include students achieving 4As and above.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan announced that this expansion was implemented to enable a greater number of students to benefit from the contributions. In previous years, only candidates who scored 7As and above qualified for the awards.

"A total of 934 SPM 2025 students received contributions, and this year we increased the allocation. RM300,000 has been channeled to all outstanding SPM 2025 students," Ramanan stated during the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary Constituency 2025 SPM Outstanding Students Contribution program. He further elaborated that, unlike in past years, students attaining 4As, 5As, and 6As are now eligible for the contributions.

In addition, Ramanan, who also serves as the Sungai Buloh Member of Parliament, revealed plans to distribute 10,000 free bicycles to youths in the area within the next three months. This initiative aims to promote active lifestyles and greater mobility among young people beyond their immediate residential areas.

In his address, Ramanan emphasized that success in the SPM examination should be viewed as a foundational step in cultivating the nation's future workforce. He stressed the importance of nurturing students' excellence to unlock their holistic potential and expand opportunities in education, careers, and social mobility.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the ministry is committed to supporting talent and skills development through various initiatives. This includes providing access to high-quality education pathways via the Advanced Technology Training Centre (ADTEC) under the Department of Manpower (JTM).
