Kuala Lumpur: A total of 5,256 Malaysian pilgrims for the 1446H/2025M Hajj season have safely arrived in the Holy Land, with staggered arrivals in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah since the first flight on April 29. Malaysian Hajj delegation head Mohd Hisham Harun reported that 4,419 pilgrims remain in Madinah, while 837 pilgrims have transitioned to Makkah in phases since Sunday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, nineteen Malaysian hajj flights have successfully landed at the Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport in Madinah, from a total of 100 flights planned for this year’s hajj season. Of these, 47 flights are scheduled to arrive in Madinah, while the remaining 53 flights will land in Jeddah, with pilgrims continuing their journey directly into the holy city of Makkah.

Mohd Hisham elaborated that 837 Malaysian pilgrims, organized into three groups-KT1, KT2, and KT3-have arrived in Makkah on Sunday after spending six days in Madinah. The movement commenced with KT1, comprising 253 pilgrims residing at Abraj Al Janadiriyah Hotel; KT2, with 328 pilgrims at Land Premiere Hotel; and KT3, with 256 pilgrims at Abraj Tayseer Hotel. Today, three additional groups are scheduled to travel from Madinah to Makkah in stages, following a pre-arranged movement schedule.

He further noted that all pilgrims had completed their first umrah (minor pilgrimage) in stages, guided by a mutawif (religious guide) and Tabung Haji staff. Additionally, Mohd Hisham shared that only one Malaysian pilgrim has been admitted to a treatment center in Madinah, with the pilgrim’s condition remaining stable. Plans are underway to transport the pilgrim to Makkah for umrah as soon as feasible. Overall, the health of all pilgrims is satisfactory, reassuring families back home of the capable medical team’s availability to provide necessary treatment and health advice to the pilgrims.
