Kuala lumpur: The 2025 MYFutureJobs Premium X SPA Career Carnival will be held this November at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), said Public Service Commission (SPA) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus. He stated that the carnival will be a significant event in the SPA activity calendar, organized in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the carnival aims to enhance public awareness of job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. It offers various services, including career advisory sessions, guidance on recruitment into the public service, and facilities to check application status and job suitability. Last February, the carnival was held at the World Trade Centre (WTC) Kuala Lumpur, followed by Kapit, Sarawak, and Kudat, Sabah, in April, Putrajaya today, and is scheduled in Melaka on August 17. The KLCC event will serve as the ‘grand finale’ for the year.
During a walkabout at the MADANI SPA Career Carnival, Ahmad Jailani mentioned that the one-day event had already attracted 3,000 visitors by the morning, with a target of 5,000 visitors by the end of the day. He expressed confidence that the number would increase by evening.
Ahmad Jailani also introduced an innovation at this year’s carnival, an open interview session for the position of Veterinary Officer, Grade GV9. This session targets final-semester students in veterinary or veterinary science programs, as well as serving officers who meet the scheme’s requirements. Candidates attending the open interview were briefed on the Public Service Entrance Evaluation (PSEE), which includes a psychometric profiling test.
Additionally, the carnival welcomed visitors from the disabled (OKU) community, providing them opportunities to secure jobs that match their qualifications. This initiative aligns with SPA’s commitment to achieving a one percent participation rate for persons with disabilities in the public service.
