The Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon.
On 18 February 2020 at about 10.10 am, the Police were alerted to a case of assault at Lorong 21 Geylang. The victim was found with a cut on his head and stab wounds on his torso and was conveyed to the hospital.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him within 24 hours.
The man will be charged in court on 20 February 2020 with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon under Section 324 of the Penal Code.The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 7 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
