State Visit by President Halimah Yacob to the State of Kuwait from 3 to 4 November 2019

President Halimah Yacob, who is on a State Visit to Kuwait, had separate meetings on 3 November 2019 with former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah. During these meetings, both sides affirmed our strong links and discussed ways to increase the momentum of our bilateral engagement. They also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East. In the evening, President met with Singaporean students studying in Kuwait.

Earlier today, President Halimah visited the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre, which celebrates the scientific and cultural achievements of Kuwaiti, Islamic, and Arab history. She was accompanied by the Kuwaiti Minister-in-Attendance, Dr Yusuf Hamad Al Ibrahim, Economic Advisor in the Amiri Diwan. Dr Yusuf Hamad Al Ibrahim also hosted President to lunch at the iconic Kuwait Towers.

President Halimah departs for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this evening.
