200,000 SARA Rahmah Boxes For The Needy By Year End – Fuziah Salleh

Subang jaya: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) aims to collect 200,000 SARA Rahmah boxes for the needy from Aug 31 till the end of the year. Its deputy minister, Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh, announced that the mission to collect the boxes was launched by Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (MYDIN) throughout the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this initiative highlights the MADANI government’s agenda, ensuring that every Malaysian has access to care, solidarity, and support regardless of their background. Dr Fuziah emphasized that the box, while providing basic necessities, also symbolically represents hope and care. She made these remarks during the programme’s launch at MYDIN Subang Jaya.

The efforts to collect the boxes will be intensified through a series of tours to ministries, government agencies, and private institutions starting from Sept 2. The aim is to encourage more people to buy and donate the boxes. Dr Fuziah further stated that KPDN and MYDIN will create the Rahmah Basket package, which will be customized to target groups such as B40 families, the elderly, and students, ensuring more inclusive aid.

MYDIN managing director Datuk Dr Ameer Ali Mydin informed that the public can purchase the boxes at any MYDIN branch nationwide from Aug 31. The programme aligns with the government’s ‘SARA For All’ efforts, allowing customers from the T20 group who do not require the RM100 aid provided via MyKad to channel the aid by purchasing the boxes.

Each SARA Rahmah Box is priced at RM100 and contains products from local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME), supporting the Buy Malaysian Products Campaign by KPDN.
