19-Year-Old Dies in Three-Vehicle Collision in Sepang

Sepang:A 19-year-old girl lost her life in a three-vehicle accident involving two motorcycles and a car on Jalan Sepang/Salak around 8.20 pm yesterday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman reported that the victim was riding a blue Honda C100. It is believed she collided with a black Honda C100 motorcycle traveling from Sungai Pelek towards Nilai. The collision occurred as the blue motorcycle was traveling against the flow of traffic in the left lane.

Following the collision, the woman was thrown from her motorcycle into the right lane, where she was reportedly run over by a grey Proton Saga Iswara, which was traveling straight in the right lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene by an assistant medical officer. The victim was employed at a cattle farm in Sepang and did not possess a valid driving license.

The rider of the black motorcycle, an Indian national working as a cook, was also found without a valid driving license. The driver of the car, a man in his 20s working as a supervisor in the food and beverage sector, holds a valid driving license.

The incident is under investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which pertains to reckless or dangerous driving resulting in death. Norhizam urged anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to contact the police. He also advised the public not to speculate on the incident to avoid hindering the investigation.
