Muadzam shah: A total of 154 patients from various government agencies, the private and public sectors are currently receiving treatment at eight dialysis centres of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Veterans Foundation. MAF Veterans Affairs Department (JHEV) director-general Major General Datuk Semaon Marjuki reported that of the total, 54 patients are MAF veterans.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the number of patients receiving treatment at the MAF Veterans Foundation Dialysis Centre in Muadzam Shah is eight, including two MAF veterans. Major General Datuk Semaon Marjuki made these remarks after officiating the dialysis centre. Furthermore, he announced plans to open another dialysis centre in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan this August, which will complete the network of nine MAF Veterans Foundation dialysis centres.

He noted that this initiative aligns with the Ministry of Defence's strategic plan to ensure the well-being of MAF veterans, focusing on both economic and health perspectives post-service. Additionally, Major General Marjuki emphasized the uniqueness of their services, highlighting the provision of round-trip transportation assistance for patients at all involved dialysis centres.

"This is an advantage that distinguishes our dialysis centre from others. We not only want to attract patients to receive treatment here, but also make it easier for them to attend their daily routines to receive treatment," he stated.

The event was attended by Muadzam Shah assemblyman and Pahang Public Works, Transport and Health Committee chairman, Datuk Razali Kassim, and MAF Veteran Foundation chief executive officer, Lt Col Azwadi Jamian.
