10 Foreigners Arrested In Immigration Raid At Entertainment Centre Offering Bollywood Dance

Kuala Lumpur: The Immigration Department (JIM) arrested 10 illegal immigrants in an Op Gegar raid at an entertainment centre that provided Bollywood-style dance performances to customers early today. Kuala Lumpur JIM director Wan Mohamed Saupee Wan Yusoff stated that the operation began at 12.45 am and resulted in the detention of eight men and two women from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, aged in their 20s to 40s, who were identified as both employees and customers.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the entertainment centre was heavily secured at the entrance and catered exclusively to customers from South Asian countries. Wan Mohamed Saupee provided these details during a briefing with reporters following the operation.

Additionally, Wan Mohamed Saupee reported that the department conducted Op Selera raids at three restaurants in the federal capital, leading to the arrest of 25 foreigners, including two children. Those detained comprised 18 men and seven women, originating from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Indonesia, with ages ranging from five to 60.

All individuals apprehended in the two operations have been taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for documentation and further investigation, Wan Mohamed Saupee confirmed.
