Zetrix AI Proposes Solution to Address RM314 Million Remittance Issue

Kuala Lumpur:Zetrix AI Bhd has announced that it has submitted a proposed solution to the government aimed at resolving its outstanding remittance obligations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company's immediate focus is on addressing these obligations and working towards the restoration of affected services, pending necessary approvals. The Road Transport Department (JPJ) had earlier stated that services provided by MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd, part of the MYEG Group, would be suspended starting October 5.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke had noted that the suspension followed a failure to remit RM314 million in government revenue collected between May 19 and September 30, 2026, despite 35 reminders. Although MYEG issued a cheque for RM231 million, it could not be processed due to company instructions.

Zetrix AI expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the suspension of JPJ services, effective today, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring essential services remain accessible. Customers who accessed JPJ services before October 5 are assured that their transactions were completed.

At the market close, Zetrix AI shares saw a decline, dropping five sen, or 43.48 percent, to 6.5 sen, with 13.73 million shares changing hands.
