YTL Power and Ganda Power Expand Gas Turbine Capacity with Siemens Energy

Kuala lumpur: YTL Power International Bhd, Ganda Power, and Siemens Energy have entered into reservation agreements for four additional SGT-9000HL gas turbine units. This development enhances the collaboration between the companies in supporting power generation projects across Malaysia and the broader region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the latest reservations elevate the total number of gas turbine units secured by Ganda and YTL Power to seven, including three units obtained previously. These turbines are intended to contribute to power generation projects with a combined capacity exceeding 5,250 megawatts (MW).

Siemens Energy has maintained a long-standing partnership with YTL Power, characterized by a commitment to engineering excellence and sustained investment. YTL Power's managing director, Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong, emphasized that the addition of these turbines strengthens their ability to deliver reliable, efficient, and competitive energy solutions on a global scale.

Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong highlighted the significance of energy as the foundation of the artificial intelligence (AI) economy. By integrating power generation expertise with advancements in data centers and AI, YTL Power aims to construct infrastructure that supports customer growth and future industries.

YTL Power underscored that Siemens Energy's SGT-9000HL gas turbine units are engineered for high efficiency, operational flexibility, and reliability. These features are crucial for ensuring a stable electricity supply as power systems increasingly incorporate renewable energy sources.
