Youth Lead Strategic Change in Malaysia: DPM Ahmad Zahid’s Insights

Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi emphasized that young people today have evolved into active drivers of change in strategic national sectors such as technology, education, and entrepreneurship. Ahmad Zahid, who chairs the Cabinet Committee on Youth Development, acknowledged the pivotal role of youth as the driving force behind Malaysia's progress amidst global changes.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid highlighted that today's youth are not just observers but are instrumental in shaping the nation's future with their innovative ideas and enthusiasm. In a Facebook post commemorating the 2026 National Youth Day celebration, he expressed that the younger generation is crucial in maintaining the country's advancement, stability, and competitiveness.

Ahmad Zahid pointed out the significant contributions of youth across various fields, including technology, education, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the creative economy, and volunteerism. Speaking on the theme of the 2026 National Youth Day, Menggerak Belia MADANI (Mobilising MADANI Youth), he encouraged young Malaysians to move forward confidently, unify, and seize opportunities to shape the future of the nation, grounded in values, knowledge, and identity.

He concluded with a message of encouragement, urging youth to continue advancing, creating, and driving Malaysia forward. He extended his wishes for a successful 2026 National Youth Day celebration.
