YNH Property Exercises Right to Defer RM34 Million Payment on Perpetual Securities

Kuala lumpur: YNH Property Bhd has announced a strategic financial move by deferring approximately RM34.41 million in coupon payments and accrued obligations related to its perpetual securities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the deferral involves two tranches of the company's perpetual securities. The first tranche, amounting to RM7.87 million of the RM87 million securities, was originally due on July 30, 2026, and will now be deferred to the next scheduled payment date of January 29, 2027. The second tranche, totaling RM26.54 million of the RM263 million securities, was set for payment on August 7, 2026, but has been postponed until February 8, 2027.

YNH Property Bhd emphasized that these deferments adhere strictly to the contractual terms of their perpetual securities programme. The company has submitted necessary director certificates to confirm full compliance with the conditions outlined in Clause 6.3 of the Trust Deed.

This deferment strategy is closely linked to an impending liquidity event for the group: the proposed sale of its prime freehold land along Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, for a cash consideration of RM455 million, which was announced on July 8, 2026. Upon completion of this transaction, YNH plans to use the proceeds to fully redeem the perpetual securities and settle all outstanding coupon obligations, including compounded and accrued interest.

During this interim period, the deferment allows YNH Property Bhd to preserve its cash reserves, ensuring continued funding for its active development projects and unlocking value from its broader asset portfolio without disrupting its operational momentum. The company is focused on maintaining its working capital for ongoing projects, such as Solasta Dutamas and township developments in Seri Manjung, while managing operational liquidity prudently.
