YIDE Allocates RM1.95 Million To Assist 13,000 Orphans With Ramadan, Aidilfitri Preparations

Kuala Lumpur: Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) has allocated RM1.95 million this year to be distributed among 13,000 registered orphans under its care for Ramadan fasting assistance and Aidilfitri preparations. Its chairman, Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor, said distribution commenced today across six locations in Selangor and Melaka, including Rumah Anak Yatim Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (RAYSAAS) in Melaka.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the annual initiative demonstrates the foundation’s commitment to supporting orphans, particularly in Selangor and Melaka, ensuring their welfare and needs are continually met. At today’s event, the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, presented cash contributions totaling RM9,300, along with 100 kilogrammes of rice and sets of kain pelekat to 31 orphans at RAYSAAS in Tanjung Kling.

Mazlan emphasized that since RAYSAAS’s establishment in 2000, it has produced numerous successful alumni in medicine, education, and government service. This underscores the crucial role of welfare institutions in shaping the futures of orphans.
