Penang:: Xsolla, a global video game commerce company that assists developers in launching, growing, and monetizing their games, has announced the acquisition of Wetaps Corporation. The Ho Chi Minh City-based publisher is known for providing comprehensive regulatory coverage for co-publishing partnerships, local operations, and market support in Vietnam. Alongside this acquisition, Xsolla has launched its Merchant of Record (MoR) services in Vietnam.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Xsolla's move to become the first licensed MoR for games in Vietnam offers developers a smooth and compliant entry point into the country's rapidly expanding gaming market. This solution provides local payment methods, regulatory compliance, and publishing approvals, all bundled into a single platform.
